At Eastbourne and District Veterans CIC we put our members first, and safeguarding the privacy of personal information is a fundamental part of this commitment. Information that we collect, why and how we use it
Any information we hold on members (or potential members) is the result of your approaching us or a request for us to contact you, and is limited to what we need in order for us to provide a service to you.
When you first contact us or send an enquiry via our website we may collect personal details such as your name, telephone number, email and postal address. We need this information to process any requests. We will not add your address to any mailing lists. We will only use your personal information to contact you with specific information relating to your membership of our group. We only share or disclose information to a third party that is GDPR compliant, with your prior knowledge.
By becoming a member of our group you consent to our holding this information until you are no longer a member, however, if you do not wish us to do this please let us know and we will delete such details from our system.
Personal information on our computer is protected and only a limited number of staff are able to access it. All paperwork relating to the process of becoming a member is kept securely.
We do not buy in mailing lists from external parties or use information from other mailing lists that are not our own.
We will never sell any of your personal details on to any third party.
Our website does not include options for customers to log in, leave comments or to upload media.
We do like to take photographs of members for use on our website, social media and printed materials, members who wish not to have their photos used should contact the office.
