Armed Forces Day 2025 has come to a close – and what a tremendous success it was!
Held on Saturday, June 28, at Five Acre Field on Lottbridge Drove, this year’s event served as Eastbourne’s heartfelt tribute to the British Armed Forces, veterans, and their families. Once again, the weather was on our side, encouraging a fantastic public turnout to enjoy a truly remarkable day.
The field was alive with activities and entertainment for all ages. Highlights included live music, children’s shows, funfair rides, a popular dog show, a dramatic Chinook flyover, falconry demonstrations, an airsoft shooting range, food stalls, and a licensed bar.
Crowds were wowed by an electrifying display from The Imps Motorcycle Display Team, and visitors had the chance to explore an array of military vehicles up close. Local regimental groups and armed forces charities were also in attendance, proudly showcasing their vital work and raising essential funds.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing team of volunteers, organisers, and supporters. Your hard work, time, and unwavering dedication made this important day in the veterans’ calendar truly special. Whether you supported behind the scenes, helped with planning and logistics, or worked on the day itself – your efforts did not go unnoticed.
We also extend our sincere thanks to our sponsors – your generous support enables us to deliver such a diverse and engaging range of displays and experiences for the community. The public came out in force to celebrate, spend time with family and friends, and most importantly, connect with our veterans.
Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering a spectacular event that continues to grow year after year. Let’s take a moment to appreciate what we’ve achieved – and look ahead with excitement to AFD26.
Thank you all.
